Trainee Laminator

**The Role**:
In our GRP workshops, we manufacture a large range of GRP structures for the defence and marine industries.

As part of our continued growth and expansion, we have trainee positions available which offer the opportunity to learn all of the processes we use in GRP.

In the Laminating teams we carry out a wide range of laminating processes such as wet-lay, infusion, vac-bagging and RTM and are offering the chance to learn all of these from the start of preparing the moulds to the release of the completed product.

Our Finishing teams complete the final product and the role involves surface preparation, fairing, filling, gelling, pattern surface preparation sanding and polishing. You will learn finishing and fairing to complete the projects form release from the mould to a high glossed finished product.

Working in a team environment you will work on a range of products and will be trained on reading and understanding lay-up drawings to enable you to use your laminating skills to carry out the required workload to the lay-up specification. In time you will need to utilise your skills to query any error or change that you may observe on any particular job.

**The Person**:
40 hour week: Mon-Thurs 07.10 - 16.00 / Fri 07.00 - 13.00
