It is an exciting time to join our **Tenant Services Team**, part of our wider **Housing Directorate**, as we are expanding and we are currently looking for two full time and one part time **Neighbourhood Officers** to join our team in **Tenant Services**. You will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.

**About the Roles**
- to provide a proactive Neighbourhood management service and carry out the regular inspections of the communal areas of our shared accommodations to ensure the areas can be used by all tenants and leaseholders
- resolve problems encountered or reported in conjunction with other services within the council
- develop a range of mechanisms to engage with communities and support them in making improvements to their physical and natural environment
- work collaboratively with other teams to ensure our housing communities remain places where people want to live and lead healthy independent lives
- be a visible presence in our neighbourhoods and communities, identifiable and recognisable by residents
- working with the admin resource to manage the council owned garages, including the inspection of sites, and reporting of repairs or site issues to the relevant teams and keep good records for performance purposes
- observe and comply with all the councils policies and procedures which include health and safety at work and agile working amongst others.

**About You**

You are likely to have a relevant qualification at NVQ4, a degree or knowledge through experience of working in a similar role.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised person with strong communication skills to fit in with our busy team. Able to identify challenging and sensitive situations through probing questions and good listening skills and be confident in your responses but happy to discuss with another officer or manager if you are unsure.

Good communication and IT skills are essential.
