Finance Director

_We are currently working in partnership with one of the UK’s largest Civil Engineering companies. Due to growth within the Plant & Transport part of the business they are looking to strengthen the finance department. The position will involve overseeingan established framework of business with annual turnover in excess of £100M. _

**_Key Essentials:_**
- Responsible for the company's financial management
- Providing support, advice, and reporting on all aspects of financial management to the MD
- Setting the strategic direction of the company with the MD
- Provide efficient and competitive services to clients while maximising returns for the company
- Financing assets efficiently using appropriate sources of capital including finance / operating leases and company cash flow
- Working with colleagues in the group finance team to maintain strong relationships with capital providers
- Preparation and production of annual budgets and business plans
- Assisting management in analysing financial variances with budgets / forecasts and operational metrics with accurate, reliable, and timely information
- Estimating the cash flow and trading activities in a reliable manner
- In accordance with accounting standards and the group's financial reporting schedule, prepare statutory and management accounts
- Communication with group auditors and management of external audits
- Establishing corporate governance policies and implementing legal requirements

**_Requirements:_**
- Previous experience of operating at a senior financial level in the plant hire and or fleet industry is essential
- The ability to manage and ensure business growth
- Qualified Accountant with an appropriate professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or comparable experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Technically strong with a hands-on approach and the ability to get into the detail and see the bigger picture at the same time
