We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 2 Nursing Assistant on The Surgical Emergency Unit (SEU)

SEU is an emergency surgical department based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. We care for a wide variety of patients which will provide you with the opportunity to build a range of skills and knowledge upon which to construct your health career.

We are a diverse and motivated team seeking enthusiastic personalities and motivated new colleagues. Whilst it is helpful if you have caring experience, this is not essential. You will be working alongside our Registered Nurses, which gives you the opportunity to learn and understand different roles and duties within our multidisciplinary team. Our Senior Nursing Assistants will support and help you to learn and adapt in your new ward environment.

Your main duties will include caring for surgical patients, helping them with their daily personal care needs, manual handling, and monitoring their clinical condition. Also you will have the opportunity to gain and acquire new learning opportunities to improve your knowledge and skills.

On SEU, we are able to offer an extremely supportive environment, and we are passionate about building a strong team, with a focus upon your individual professional development and educational needs.

We utilise a self-rostering system to plan our shift patterns, giving you the flexibility and freedom to manage your own work-life balance

For more information, please do not hesitate to contact Ward Sister for SEU E Side, Laura Gosson
