Data Management is a newly formed team at Dunelm who are charged with unlocking and utilising the value of data and information. Our vision is that

Covering all aspect of good data management, we work closely with colleagues across Dunelm to; define data policies, optimise processes, ensure data is of high-quality and available to the right people at the right time. We have exciting plans with the implementation of a new PIM, re-platforming of our data estate and a new data governance framework (to name a few). It’s a great time to join our team

This is a new role in Dunelm and provides an exciting opportunity to be a part our data journey Supporting us in embracing the value that data brings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support Data Owners to ensure that data is provisioned and distributed to the right Data Consumers
- Responsible for establishing data quality rules, benchmarking and tracking metrics
- Responsible for metadata management, overseeing the maintenance of a business data dictionary and the business glossary, for the definition and maintenance of Dunelm’s data
- Developing operational best practices and use cases for MDM
- Proactive review and cleanse of master data
- Collaborates with teams to build data models and advise on any data capture requirements
- Partners with Business, Tech and Product teams to ensure that our solutions are aligned to the organization’s data principles and guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate data maintenance
- Establishes regular reporting - tracking of requests against SLAs, audit of changes, duplicate and inactive records and data non-conformities.
- Manages the handling and use of data (including data quality and hygiene) and compliance with existing and planned data legislation such as GDPR.

**Who you are**:

- An analytical mindset with a passion for linking data to real-world business challenges
- Solid understanding of MDM implementation and operational best practice
- Proven experience working in a similar Data Stewardship role
- Good understanding of data privacy legislation
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels, convey information appropriately, and suggest improvements to processes
- Have worked in complex data environments and data migration projects.
- Experience of MDM and/or PIM implementations would be a distinct advantage
