In this busy, varied role, you'll be the mediator between Buying, Stores Operations and Trading - taking into account conflicting needs and coming up with a solution that works for everyone.

Our Merchandising Department is a little bit different from most other organisations. Our added-value comes from the quality products we sell and the volume we sell it at. Yes, we merchandise our products on cases and pallets. But that doesn't mean it can't be attractive to our customers (and practical for the store too). We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we're doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we're opening new stores at lightning speed.

The Macro space Assistant will be responsible for supporting the production and maintenance of accurate, store floor plans that reflect the appropriate business blueprint, macro space rules and principles agreed by Store development and Merchandising.

The role is based within the Merchandising team (National Buying) at the ALDI Head Office in Atherstone but with potential to travel to stores / regions for projects and support.

**Your New Role**
- Preparing new CAD store drawings for projects throughout the ALDI estate for Standard and Non-standard stores
- Gatekeeper for agreed National floorplans
- Provide high quality store plans that maximize economic return. satisfy customer needs and address operational challenges whilst being commercially focused
- Support the wider Merchandising team with Macro related / trial projects
- Provide ad hoc support for store improvement changes - liaising with Store Operations, Property and Merchandising to ensure changes are planned and delivered.
- Working to strict deadlines, under pressure and at a fast pace
- Maintain the Store audit fixture dashboard and ensure updated with store changes
- Supporting the Project Management team with a varied workload
- Engaging with contractors, architects, designers & other professional advisors
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

**About You**
- Experience of working in a Merchandising / Macro space planning / Store Planning environment.
- Understanding of Merchandising / floor planning
- Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders including architects and construction / refrigeration companies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact with the operational business and translate technical concepts and problems into business language
- Strong attention to detail
- Technically minded yet business driven approach
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks while under pressure
- An ability to work individually, and to collaborate as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and committed
- An ability to stay positive and perform efficiently under the pressure
- Willingness to travel within UK & Ireland
- Genuine interest in store / layout design

**What You’ll get in Return**
- Salary starting £36,080 rising to £42,135
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
