**We have an exciting opportunity to join The Arden School of Theatre as a Singing Tutor at **UCEN Manchester on a on a permanent, sessional (ADHOC) basis.**

The Arden School of Theatre, a drama school in the heart of Manchester, is seeking to hire a singing teacher to work on several of its BA (Hons) degree programmes. The Arden was established in 1991 and was one of the first establishments in the UK to offer vocational, degree level theatrical courses. We continue to offer first class training in a stimulating environment as part of the UCEN Creative faculty which consists of 3 nationally acclaimed schools: The Arden School of Theatre, The School of Art, Media and Make-Up, and The Manchester Film School. With unique and innovative pedagogical approaches, the faculty is a creative eco-system where students can collaborate, thrive, and evolve their talents at our brand-new campus in the heart of Manchester, equipped with specialist rehearsal and film studios, theatres, design suites, recording studios, and much more to prepare students for the creative industries.

We are looking to recruit a singing teacher to teach 1:1 singing on Musical Theatre, and Vocal Studies degrees. An excellent knowledge of contemporary vocal pedagogy is required for this role as well as strong accompaniment and sight-reading skills. You will be working with BA (Hons) students on a weekly basis supporting them on vocal technique and repertoire. Good knowledge of Musical Theatre and contemporary vocal repertoire is also important.

The purpose of this role is to teach and engage with our students, in order to give them the skills ready for a career in industry. To do this successfully you’ll need:

- English and Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2
