Sheffield, United Kingdom University of Sheffield Full time

You will work closely within a highly integrated professional services team. The team supports researchers in the Sheffield community with their data management, quality control, analysis of data and presentation of results. In addition to experience in statistics and experimental design you will need experience in at least two bioinformatics domains such as RNA analysis (gene expression), DNA sequencing (mutations in the whole genome / exome), or proteome analysis and know how to implement your analyses in reproducible workflows. You will be expected to primarily support projects and act as an independent point of contact for researchers involved in the 100,000 Genomes Project for bladder cancer and a genome stratified clinical trial. Your work will generate deliverables in support of The University of Sheffield and Hospitals researchers that have an impact on current clinical trials and benefit patients.

We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
