**Overview.**

Troo, based in Sunderland, are seeking an experienced Trader to join our rapidly growing company.

This would be a key senior role in the business, reporting into the board of directors. You will be responsible for developing the company’s ability to trade energy, negotiating and agreeing flexible purchasing offers with customers. You will be a critical part of a sales team. You will work in collaboration with our well established sales team to help businesses make informed decisions about their energy.

**The Role.**
- Monitor and analyse energy market trends, including supply and demand dynamics and regulatory changes.
- Identify trading opportunities and risks and execute trades in energy market.
- Support in the production of daily, weekly and monthly market intelligence reporting.
- Utilize trading platforms and tools to implement trading strategies.
- Monitor and manage trading positions to ensure compliance with risk limits.
- Collaborate with our energy consultants and their clients to understand their needs and execute trades on their behalf.
- You will be responsible for working with energy suppliers on flexible product development, including the implementation & rollout to clients.
- Stay informed about industry developments, competitor activities and emerging trends.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including directors, sales staff, support staff and energy suppliers.
- Develop tools to assist in the decision-making process when hedging clients’ energy expenditure.
- Achieve daily/weekly/monthly KPI’s

**About You.**
- Proven experience as an energy trader in a brokerage or trading firm is essential.
- Strong understanding of energy markets, trading strategies, and risk management principles.
- Self-motivated and a passion for success
- Ability to work under pressure when needed and still achieve targets
- Excellent communication skills - professional and articulate
- Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
- An ability to work in fast-paced, self-directed, professional environment
- Team Player

**Package.**
- Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 depending on experience.
- Hours: We promote a work life balance Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am - 3pm
- Location

**Salary**: £60,000.00-£80,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sunderland
