Machinist (Omu)

We are a manufacturer of orthopedic components/materials manufactured to high specifications for the medical industry. Our main focus is to supply high quality medical products to exacting customer and international specifications, supported by our technical department which is capable of testing polymeric materials to the highest standards. We are looking for a highly motivated machinist to join the Orthoplastics Manufacturing Unit (OMU).

**Key Accountable Areas**:

- Responsible for the delivery of production performance goals through efficient operation of production equipment
- Sets up and operate machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Maintaining high operating equipment efficiency levels
- Working towards client-specific and high quality production
- Ensure route cards are followed correctly
- Operate manual lathe following production plan and adhering to standard times
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to
- Ensure that all products are thoroughly quality checked

**Required Qualifications**:

- 3 GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent qualifications
- Previous machine operator experience using lathes, four cutters, spindles and planers is essential

**Hours of Employment**
- Back Shift - 14.15-22.45 Monday to Thursday, 12.00-17.00 Friday (breaks included) however during the
- Due to the nature of the work, you may be expected to be flexible with regards to working hours and breaks to enable the best efficiency and utilisation during the daily period
- Duties and hours may vary dependent upon workload
