Express Recruitment are excited to be partnering up with one of the UK’s largest civil & construction engineering companies who are currently working on a variety of nationwide contracts covering the rail, road & airport sector both within the public and private sector

Due to fantastic growth our client are seeking the addition of a Construction Buyer to join their procurement team.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Work cross-functionally among other departments to ensure the smooth flow of materials, consumables, and parts
- Identify new areas and suppliers to source materials from
- Negotiate with current suppliers to obtain better prices
- Reduce overall costs without effecting quality or speed
- Build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Previous experience within the construction environment doing a procurement role
- Proven negotiation skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics is highly desirable
- CIPS qualification desirable
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 standards
