Head of Talent

**Ashton recruitment require a Head of Talent for our busy client based in Magherafelt.**

Title: Head of Talent

Location: Magherafelt with travel between sites required

Duration: Permanent

**Salary**: Not disclosed, an offer will be made based on your interview and experience.

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, full time hours between 8am-5.30pm with flexibility required.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the identification, recruitment, retention and development of talent and performance across the business units.

**Duties include but will not be limited to**:
In line with the Company’s overall Vision and Strategy, you will work with the Management Team to identify current and future skill and resource gaps, recruiting the requisite Talent where necessary.

Assume overall responsibility for developing and managing a Company Learning & Development Plan in line with the company’s overall strategic objectives.

Managing and maintaining appropriate contracts for all employees.

Assisting in the identification and oversee the management of the projects from a senior level

**Essential Criteria**

Third level qualification

Can demonstrate a fresh, imaginative and innovate approach to:
leading and managing a HR function / department

leading and managing a recruitment/talent function /department

retention of talent

development and improvement of talent

performance management at all levels across the business

Competency in HR systems

Available to work flexible hours and to travel as necessary to the business sites &depots

Current driving licence and vehicle insured for business use

**Desirable Criteria**

Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) status

Experience of working with in the Construction Industry

A post graduate qualification in human resources or a related discipline e.g., business studies, law, occupational psychology
