Underwriter

The role during training would be office based & once competent it would be a fully remote role with the option to work from the office.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Always maintain a high level of communication with interested parties including customers, surveyors, accountants & solicitors
- Work closely with directors and other departments within the company including, compliance & administration
- Maintain a high level of customer service with customers & external parties
- Think outside the box and be proactive when suggesting ways to overcome potential problems, whilst ensuring that there is no additional risk to the company
- Keep up to date with regulatory requirements
- Keep all CRM, customer folders & systems up to date

**Key skills**:

- CeMAP qualified is essential
- Strong team player
- Commercially aware
- Excellent understanding of compliance aspects of the role including the regulatory environment and TCF principles
- Ability to adopt a pragmatic approach to underwriting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to customers timeframes
- Proactive approach
