**Principal Ecologist - Manchester**

Friendly and hardworking the Principal Ecologist will encourage cohesiveness amongst the team and will work with a variety of small and large scale clients and projects. **The Role**:
You will have project management and field experience, with the majority of the work being completed in the local area.
- Have at least one Protected Species Licence (Bat and/or Watervole ar essential).
- Have experience project managing.
- Experience in team management.
- Have experience writing high-quality reports including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals.
- Complete protected species work (including Bat, Newt, Barn Owl, Badger etc).
- Develop appropriate mitigation and ECIA reports.
- CIEEM membership.
- Effectively and safely implement environmental surveys.
- Present ecological method statements.
- Be comfortable dealing with clients and writing high quality reports.

**Key Skills**:

- Hold a degree in a relevant discipline.
- Have excellent experience in project managing.
- Have experience with protected species (1-2 licences are ideal).
