Mitie has a great opportunity for a part time Distribution Security Officer to join the Total Security Management Team.

Pay: £10.52ph

Location**:FedEx LTD Lount, Lount PDC, Melbourne Road, Ashby-De-la-Zouch, LE65 1RS**

Shift Pattern: Weekends 0600-1800 Saturdays and Sundays (12 hour shifts)

Hours: 24 hours per week

Holiday: 11.5 days per annum

Probation: 3 months

**Job Overview**
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and gatehouse duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
- Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
- To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
- To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incident.
- Be confident in searching people and vehicles.
- Be I.T Literate, will be using client systems to book in and out Vehicles
- Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
- To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

**What we are looking for**
- Previous Security Experience
- SIA SG or DS License
- Flexibility & able to travel to sites
- Full Driving Licence
- Good literacy and communication skills and have excellent verbal and written English.
- Be computer and software literate.
- Reliability, self
- motivated, and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision.
- The ability to solve problems, make decisions and prioritise.
- The ability to transfer self-motivation to staff.
- The ability, tact, and diplomacy to deal with people at all levels.
- Self-confidence and an interest in self-development.
- An interest in the continuous improvement of the Company's performance.
- The nature of the role is such that it is essential that the post holder has and will maintain an excellent record of attendance and timekeeping.
