**The Opportunity**
You will play a crucial part in the function of our Community Safety and Wellbeing directorate. Your role will be based in our Housing Support Team and a direct report of the Domestic Abuse Service Manager.

You will undertake direct work with clients who have experienced domestic and sexual violence and abuse, to ensure they receive an appropriate service.

This role directly supports victims of domestic abuse who need to access safe accommodation whilst working closely with Housing Options teams to provide consistent advice and guidance, including within the legal framework.

You will manage a caseload, focusing on all levels of risk in a proactive way, and incorporating risk assessment and safety planning.

You will work within a multi-agency setting and keep the clients’ safety central to all coordinated responses.

Working in collaboration with housing teams, you will ensure clients are aware of their options in accessing housing benefits and practical / emotional support.

**About You**
You will have a passion for supporting victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence and will be able to communicate effectively with multi-agency partners, so that their voices are heard.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, communicating on several different levels with multiple stakeholders and adapting your style accordingly.

You will have keen attention to detail, be comfortable working independently and be at ease in this fast-paced, agile environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads, and priorities. You will have the ability to respond to complex situations calmly and effectively.
