Herefordshire, United Kingdom Visiting Services Kemble at Home Full time

**Kemble at Home** is a multiple award-winning family company, established in 1993, and rated ‘Outstanding for Caring’ by CQC.

We are looking for Waking Night Care Assistants to help support our private clients in their homes during the night in and around Hereford.

**About the role......**

When you join Kemble as a member of the Visiting Care Team doing waking nights, you will be visiting our clients in their homes building relationships with them and enabling them to live the life they chose at home. They need some support at night and your role is to enable them to stay safe at home. Your work is likely to be with the same clients all night. Some people will need someone to be a reassuring presence, others might need support with medication or a medical condition, some might need support with personal care and many people may simply want some company during lonely nights. Formal care experience is welcomed yet it is not required
- we will offer you the training you need to feel confident in your role.

Waking nights are usually a 12 hour shift and can be less than this depending on each client. We work together with you and the client to ensure the care is just right.

We believe in fairly rewarding our carers for the important work they do and we are proud to offer some of the best rates of pay and support around:

- Pay from £11.36 up to £17.72 per hour
- 40p mileage allowance
- 28 days holiday pro rata
- Fully paid face to face training and ongoing training and support, with the opportunity to specialise in Dementia and End of Life Care
- Flexible working
- Pension scheme
- A minimum of 1-hour placements
- Sick pay

**How will you be introduced to Kemble at Home and our clients?**

Before you begin lone working in the community, we will make sure you are thoroughly trained. You will receive 4 days of fully paid and certificated training, during which you will fully equipped with the skills and knowledge you need to safely carry out your role. As well as this, we will aim to shadow you into all of your regular clients with the clients’ PA or a regular carer. Within your shadow visits you will be able to introduce yourself and have the opportunity to observe the client’s routine and familiarise yourself with their home.

**About Kemble at Home.......**

We like to think we are rather unique. Why? Because we have a great attitude, and we are proud of it. In 2019, we won the Care Employer Award at both the Great British Care Awards and the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards, and we have been finalists every year since We work hard to create a place where we can all feel safe, work hard, and have fun.

We are proud of our carers and the work they do, a number of our carers have been with us for over 20 years. We are here to support you. Our office base is and always has been in Hereford and we are fortunate to have a dedicated office team who actively support you in your role. Living in Herefordshire and having worked in care they are there to help manage client files, match carers with clients, develop schedules, and are available around the clock to support the carers.
- “I have worked for Kemble at Home for many years, the management have been amazingly supportive and understanding throughout my time as a carer”_
- “I thank every one of my team of carers for making every day easier, more fun and so much brighter. I look forward to every visit.”_

**What do you need?**
- The right to live and work in the UK.
