We are a 56-bedroom home based in Banff, Aberdeenshire. Ours is a family run business with extensive experience of working in the care industry. We have started a refurbishment program designed to an extremely high standard, with a view to creating a dementia friendly environment throughout. Our main priority is the care of our residents and as we continue to develop our exceptional service, we require an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated relief cook to join our team to cover shifts as required due to absence.

Are you interested in joining our bank staff?

**About you**

You should have a relevant professional cook qualification including kitchen management.

You should have up to date certification of statutory food hygiene and health & safety regulations.

Experience of working in a busy kitchen, operating catering equipment is essential.

Experience of leading a small team.

You should have an excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.

Knowledge of infection control and procedures.

Knowledge of nutritional requirements of older people and how to prepare food to the expectations.

Knowledge of the national care standards and how they relate to the post.

**Job Types**: Zero hours contract, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.39 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Strict Infection Control measures in place and comprehensive training will be given.

**Experience**:

- Cook: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
- Professsional Cookery Qualification (preferred)
