The Social Care Financial Assessment Team are looking to recruit a full time Financial Assessment Senior Caseworker to support and line manage an expanding team of officers to help deal with an increasing demand for quality adult social care financial assessments and to prepare for any future charging reform requirements.

The team are based at City Hall although you will have an agile working pattern which will include a mixture of working from the office and at home.

The successful applicant will line manage a team of officers carrying out adult social care financial assessments, offering advice and support where needed and where appropriate taking the lead on the most complex cases. You will offer advice and support in relation to the case management and performance management of cases as well as quality assure work carried out and provide specialised advice on the Department of Health’s statutory guidance and regulations in relation to Charging and Deferred Payments issued under the Care Act 2014.

You will be part of a busy team and will require excellent communication skills as well as decision making within statutory guidelines.
