Bookkeeper for Dental Practice

At Space Dental, we pride ourselves on providing first-class dental care in a friendly and welcoming environment. Our team is dedicated to ensuring patients have a comfortable and positive experience. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our practice and help manage our financial operations.

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the dental practice.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate with the practice’s external accountant for tax preparation and audits.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform other administrative and financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.**Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Xero and Dentally software would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Competitive salary based on experience.
