**Role**
Excellent opportunity for an initial 6-month contract as a Senior Buyer with a global aerospace and defense client.
As the Senior Buyer, you will conduct Make v Buy exercises, develops sourcing strategies, selects sources, negotiates and manages supplier agreements associated with complex supplier requirements.
Responsibilities will include lead cross-functional teams in conducting Make v Buy exercises and developing and deploying commodity strategies including direct and indirect spend commodities, Target Return on Investment (ROI), Commodity risk management, Service levels, and Approved/preferred suppliers.
You will also engage with Stakeholder Functional leads; Participate or Lead in supplier assessments and development; Leverage commodity opportunities; Lead the development of Commodity Agreements, tenders, business cases and service level KPIs; and many other associated procurement and supply chain duties.

**Essential requirements**

A relevant degree or MCIPS with Experience in Subcontract Management, Procurement, Commodity and / or related field is essential. Previous experience in strategic procurement / commodity role and SAP is also essential. You will also have worked within aerospace or defense (ITAR experience highly desirable)
