Send Support Nursery Practitioner Level 2

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children at an outstanding setting. We are looking for an experienced SEND trained early years practitioner at Kids Start Nursery in Northenden.
**Work /Shift Pattern - Monday - Friday -2.30pm-6.00pm Hours - 17.5**
- **Main Duties**:_
- To ensure high standards of social, emotional and physical care are delivered to all children within Kids Start._
- To safeguard all children in your care. Where you are allocated to support a child with a specific need or SEND, you must ensure that you are responsive to their needs. This includes safeguarding them when they are accessing the provision, ensuring their needs are met and recognising changes in behaviour that may indicate a safeguarding concern._
- To commit to the Key Person role, providing care to meet the individual needs of the children in Kids Start’s care._
- To support and contribute to the implementation of a broad curriculum. When allocated to support a child with specific needs or SEND, ensuring the implementation of a target support plan, following multi-agency advice or their EHCP targets._
- To development and maintain strong parent/carer partnerships. Including sharing information in relation to children’s specific needs and development._
- To work as part of a diverse team, in order to create enabling environments where children feel happy and safe._
- To work alongside outside agencies._
- To support the implementation of high quality provision with an understanding of all abilities, cultures and beliefs._
- To report any safeguarding concerns in relation to children, staff, parents and carers._
- To attend training days, staff meetings and events outside of normal working hours._
- To demonstrate flexibility within working practices, in regards to daily duties, tasks and responsibilities._
- To work within a team to promote and maintain Kids Starts philosophy, ethos and standards._
- To read, understand and adhere to Kids Start’s policies and procedures._
- To demonstrate and promote confidentiality of information regarding practitioners, children and their families._
- To ensure effective cleanliness, hygiene, health and safety standards at all times._
- To ensure specific duties in relation to health and safety are completed._
- To provide meaningful activities based on the curriculum, children’s individual needs and interests.._
- To attend training related to your role._
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £10.50-£11.50 per year
