We have an exciting opportunity to recruit to a Band 5 Dietitian post. The post is split between 2 teams - Macmillan Oncology and Medical/Surgical team. The post is based across Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull (HGS) hospital sites, where we have a large, well-established, specialist dietetic service. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic Dietitian who would be interested in developing your dietetic expertise and joining these friendly and supportive teams, then this is the job for you

Applicants must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post to work across all hospital sites. The post holder will be required to work Monday to Friday and will also contribute to the provision of 7 day therapy services at UHB.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
The post holder will provide support for the Oncology service which will involve seeing patients in MDT clinics, on inpatients wards, in outpatient clinics or over telephone clinics. Part of the role includes the supervision of students. The team covers a range of tumour sites and the role will provide an opportunity to see patients with Gynaecological, HPB, Colorectal and Haematological cancers.

The medical-surgical case load will have a focus on our surgical wards including ENT and vascular surgery. There will also be opportunity to cover across our wider medical surgical caseload, such as acute medicine, respiratory and infectious diseases. This caseload will be mainly inpatient based, with the majority of patients requiring either oral or enteral nutrition support.

Dietitian with qualification in Dietetics (BSc,

PG diploma or MSc)
- Registration as Dietitian with Health & Care

Professions Council (HCPC)
- Good level of written and spoken English
- Evidence of CPD
