**Main Duties**

**1. Championing Young Carers, Parent Carers and Families**
- _**Connect with carers**:_Manage the flow of new referrals for the Young Carer or Parent Carer Service and connect them to vital resources.
- _**Empower through personalised support**_:_ Identify young carers (aged 5-18), their families, and parent carers, providing a range of tailored information, advice, and support reflecting their unique needs.
- _**Forge powerful partnerships**_:_ Partner with Family Hubs, local organisations, and key stakeholders to create better outcomes, improve referral pathways, and strengthen support networks.
- _**Be a Voice and Empower**:_Advocate for young carers, families, and parent carers, actively involving them in shaping future services and ensuring their needs and priorities are heard.
- _**Provide Personalised Support**:_Manage a limited caseload of complex cases, offering tailored information and advice to empower carers in their roles.

**2. Leading and supporting the team**
- _**Empower and inspire**:_ Provide leadership, training and supervision to the team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- _**Create a circle of support**:_Work with the team to ensure continuity of support and a collaborative team environment, carry out joint visits with team members and provide seamless support during staff absences or vacancies.
- _**Champion professional development**:_ Work with the Head of Children & Families to oversee recruitment, induction, training, supervision and personal development reviews, supporting team growth and expertise.
- _**Become a data dynamo**:_Gain an in-depth knowledge of the client management system and support the team to ensure up to date and accurate records are maintained, generating meaningful reports and demonstrating the impact of the team’s work.
- _**Promote awareness**:_Collaborate with the Communications Team to raise awareness and promote activities through varying mediums, including social media.

**3. Record Keeping**
- Maintain accurate, timely and detailed records of all contacts and support work undertaken on reporting systems as required.
- Ensure that information, including personal sensitive data, is collected, processed, and stored according to information governance best practice and the standards required by Voluntary Norfolk (VN) policies.

**4. Performance and Development**
- You will continually reflect and learn from your work through 1:1 supervision and attendance at regular team meetings, both face to face and on-line; sharing your experiences, good practice and ensuring your own support needs in managing your caseload are met.
- You will be confident leading your personal development with support from service lead, in line with the performance management framework.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £29,801.00 per year
