Due to staff retirement, we have a rare opportunity to join our fantastic After School Club in Overton, working alongside our highly experienced dedicated team of staff.
The position is part time/term time only, working from 2.00pm until 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 17.5hrs per week. _(There are options of extra hours at our Nursery in Heysham should you be interested)._
Essential:
- Minimum of Level 3 or above in Childcare or Play Leader qualification.
- At least 1 years childcare experience working with 0-11yr olds.
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid / DBS certificate (However these must be obtained once in employment).
**Duties**:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children at the after school club
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Supervise and engage children in play and educational activities
- Monitor and ensure the safety of children at all times
- Communicate with parents regarding their child and any concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and parents
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards children's needs
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
