**Event Overview**

St Patrick’s Day Festival & Parade is a free public event that is the largest celebration of Irish culture and community in London. Now in its 21st year, the Mayor’s annual shindig has become a highlight of London’s cultural calendar, as Londoners and visitors unite in celebrating the great contributions Irish people have made to the city.

**Dates and Times Required** **Onsite at Trafalgar Square**:

- Saturday 16 March 2024 - 2pm to 6pm
- Sunday 17 March 2024 - 8am to 2pm

**About the Role**

Working alongside the Accreditation Manager you will check personnel into the event site using the accreditation system before issuing wristbands and laminated passes to staff, contractors, performers and VIPs when they arrive onsite.

**All required training and an introduction to the event site will be given in person on Saturday 16 March.**

**You will be required to**:

- Issue the correct accreditation to personnel upon arrival onsite as directed by the Accreditation Manager. There will be multiple types of accreditation such as wristbands and laminated passes in various colours, these will be pre-assigned in advance by the event organisers.
- The accreditation tent will likely be one of the first impressions that people have of the event so it is important for the accreditation team to give a friendly welcome.
- You may need to speak to other members of the team to resolve queries if they arise.

**What to expect**
- This is an outdoor event taking place in March in the UK so you should be prepared for it to be cold, wet, windy or possibly even sunny and hot Whilst you will be based in a marquee you should wear suitable clothing for working outdoors, layers and a waterproof jacket are a very good idea.
- Because all staff, contractors, performers and VIPs need accreditation in order to be identified on the event site, the accreditation tent and the event site in general can get quite busy. You would always be working alongside another team member however please be aware that this can be a busy and sometimes noisy environment.
