**About Us**:
The Parenting Network is a small charitable organisation in Portsmouth, providing a much loved and needed service to local families through our parenting community groups, events and services. We are a small, relaxed and friendly team looking for an experienced activities coordinator to join us on our journey and be part of the TPN Story.

**The Role**:
Responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering a range of activities for families and school aged children that inspires and sparks curiosity in sports, arts, culture and the wider world. This role has real potential to grow and develop into a more permanent, full-time and senior position for the right person.

**Main Responsibilities**:
Leading on all TPN collaboration and engagement opportunities, at all annual and seasonal public events, community fun days and festivals.

Acting up and joining the management team during the school holidays as our HAF Manager, you will manage all elements of our HAF (Holiday, Activities and Food) programme and will manage a small team of seasonal play scheme workers. This will include having children without their parents/guardians.

You will hold overall responsibility for coordinating weekly football sessions for fathers, including managing pitch bookings, attendance, supplying refreshments and supervising the sessions.

You will on occasion be required to provide activities and support at our midweek and weekend stay and play groups.

**You will be required to**:

- Have a natural flair of confidence, communicating with families and providers in person at events, ensuring all families receive a meaningful, inclusive and welcoming experience,
- Be able to draw upon your extensive experience of planning and leading a programme of creative, physical, fun and engaging activities,
- Work collaboratively and creatively alongside all colleagues to plan enriching early years activities for families attending all TPN Groups.
- Plan seasonal TPN activities; Easter, Summer, Halloween, Christmas,
- Plan, organise, coordinate and attend TPN public events, being present from the set up through to the pack down,
- Communicate effectively with external providers, attendees and all other stakeholders
- Create promotional material and proactively market these across social media,
- Manage a small budget, monitoring expenditure for the project,
- Completing both planned and dynamic risk assessments as required.
- Manage any booking processes and attendee registers.
- Keep timely and accurate records, gather feedback and evidence for the purpose of evaluation and funding reports.
- Support the efforts of the Fundraising and Finance managers in compiling information for financial, impact and funding reports.
- Attend training courses, including, safeguarding, first aid and food hygiene.
- Follow TPN policies and procedures and uphold TPN’s high standards of safeguarding practice,
- Be a brand ambassador for all TPN projects while liaising with families and professionals,
- Have excellent administration and interpersonal skills,
- Provide ad hoc support to other TPN groups as required,
- Any other duty as required by the line manager commensurate with the post.

Essential:

- Experience of delivering group activities to families and children
- Friendly and reliable
- Flexible and adaptable to changes
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends when required

Desirable:

- Hold a relevant qualification in childcare, events, activities or sports coaching
- Hold a full driving licence
