SF Recruitment are working with a truly outstanding business in Leicester who are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their business on a full time, permanent basis. An opportunity has arisen within our clients busy Finance department for an outstanding financeprofessional. Ideally the new Accounts Assistant will have some exposure within a finance function or be able to demonstrate proactive working within a results driven team. The successful applicant will have a confident approach and first class communicationskills. As the Accounts Assistant you will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller & joining a small well ran Finance Department.
**Duties will include**:

- Logging, matching of supplier invoices and credit notes.
- Processing weekly payment runs and other ad hoc supplier payments
- Perform the month end close off reconciliations.
- Work alongside our suppliers & partners to resolve queries and issues.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Invoicing of Sales ledger invoices
- Posting and allocation of customer receipts
- Credit control - chasing of customer debts.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
**Skills, Competencies & Qualifications**:

- An ability to solve problems using a logical and structured approach is essential.
- A conscientious worker who prides themselves on attention to detail
- Capable of working in a pressurised environment.
- Confident communicator with financial and non-financial staff
- Excellent organisational skills
- High degree of accuracy
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Xero accounts package would be an advantage but not essential.
- Be able to show initiative and be able to work within a small team.
- The ability to work to deadlines within the month end time scale.
- Be self motivated and able to cope under pressure.
