Adecco Sheffield are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner for our innovative, forward-thinking client based in Doncaster.

Reporting into the Transport Manager, this key role will involve providing support to the Transport Department with administrative tasks, servicing, compliance, planning and overseeing of the transport fleet whilst ensuring that health and safety procedures,high levels of productivity, attendance and customer satisfaction are maintained at all times.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Planning daily workload for vehicles and assisting with effective route planning.
- Effective planning and utilisation of drivers and vehicles for deliveries and collections.
- Transport planning of Raw material
- Monitoring fuel levels and obtaining prices as required.
- Ensuring all loads are inputted on Microsoft Navision.
- Planning and arranging outbound loads
- Maintain the Asset register for the group
- Maintain motor insurance database for the group.
- Maintaining the database for vehicles, trailers, journeys, mileages and costs on Microsoft Navision.
- Updating Merridale fuel system to add fuel purchases.
- Liaising with drivers on a daily basis and ensuring driver hours are compliant.
- Ensure employed driver cards and vehicle tachographs are downloaded within set guidelines.
- Planning fleet services and MOT's in accordance to the O license requirements
- Inputting service sheets onto the service planner and ensuring an effective filing system for all transport documentation to ensure compliance obligations are met.
- To provide cover for the Weighbridge Operatives as required.

Working Hours - Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
