**About us**

Summer House Wimbledon is a small creche in Wimbledon Park, SW19 8BY. We are long establised, with an excelllent reputation, and our goal is to make sure Summer House is always a fun and relaxed place for staff and children alike.

Our setting is located only a 2 minute walk from Wimbledon Park tube. We have a lovely garden and we also visit our 2 local playgrounds regularly.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a patient and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our small team in our boutique, excellently located creche. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to the young children in our creche. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate activities
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Monitor children for any signs of distress or illness and report to lead teachers
- Assist with nappy changing and toilet training
- Engage children in educational and creative activities
- Foster positive relationships with parents and provide regular updates on their child's progress
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure the well-being of all children in the nursery

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with young children preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to pass a background check

**Salary**: £12.50-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 42 per week
