Transport Planner

To support our growing services we are now looking for a dedicated individual to join our Transport Team to assist in the planning our of UK vehicles.

**UK Traffic Planner / Operator**

Working in a busy Transport Office the role will involve working closely with other planners to organise and efficiently route vehicles throughout the UK. This is a challenging and fast paced role suitable to a motivated quick-thinking individual with a “can do” attitude.

Good geographical knowledge is also a key to the success of this role.

**Main responsibilities include**:

- Route planning and load building to achieve maximum efficiency.
- To work closely with team members planning own fleet of vehicles.
- Collection and delivery of UK domestic and European bound freight.
- Groupage consolidation, part loads, full loads
- Customer liaison to ensure excellent service levels are maintained.
- Source sub-contractors and reloads when required.
- Maximise use of trailers
- General administration associated to the UK operation.
- Providing support/ cover where required

- Geographic knowledge of the UK

- Flexible, the ability to adapt to changing circumstances

- Good communication skills
- Organised

Hours are 37.5 per week and will be between the hours of 9am and 7pm. Rota to be agreed. Occasional Saturday mornings approx. 1 in 6. Additional pay applies.

Profit Related Pay

Salary circa £32,000 per annum

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
