We are looking for an organised and pro-active Transport Planner to join our growing Logistics Team As a Transport Planner you will assist the Transport Manager with daily routing of the vehicles, debriefing drivers, finding back loads and opening new doors to new customers. We are a very fast-paced company, and you will need to be able to work as a team and have the necessary skills to work independently. Experience within the Transport industry is essential.

**At Vuba you will**:

- Triage of daily orders to the most cost/resource efficient distribution centre
- Route planning of Vuba vehicles based on customer demand & operational efficiency
- Assist with developing internal processes to ensure the best customer experience and value
- Establish and maintain an expansive network of international, national and local logistics operators
- Negotiate costs for external transport, ensuring best value and agreed service quality
- Assist with logistics support for purchasing department, advising on best method and obtaining quotes
- Manage 3rd party logistics claims, ensuring optimal outcome for Vuba and our customers
- Maintain excellent communication with internal stakeholders, in particular HGV Drivers, Distribution Managers and Sales Department
- Assist with ensuring full compliance with legal requirements for own vehicles, including maintenance, record keeping and driver management
- Audit driver hours, analyse results and take appropriate disciplinary action for non-conformance
- Any other ad hoc duties

**Qualifications, Education and Skills Requirements**
- Good time management skills, as they may have multiple tasks and issues happening concurrently
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with managers and colleagues
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify issues and effectively deal with them
- A firm understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
