This privately owned group of companies offers a diverse range of services to customers throughout the UK. Founded by two successful entrepreneurs the business has grown rapidly by making complementary acquisitions and developing new services to meet market demands. Operating in a buoyant technology space they have recently completed a successful round of external fundraising and now have in excess of £120m of capital to deploy on a major infrastructure project.
We are looking for an HR Advisor based full time at our Head Office just off the M65 between Blackburn and Burnley. Please note that this role will be office based Monday to Friday.
**Role Overview of the HR Advisor**
The HR Advisor will work in a very busy HR Team within a fast growth group of companies. You will advise both employees, Managers and contractors across the business.
Providing an effective resource and point of contact for the Senior managers and the board of Directors. Reporting in to the HR Manager you will have a very diverse range of HR queries and issues whilst supporting the wider Operational function with their business responsibilities.
**Key responsibilities of the HR Advisor**
Providing advice in work reviews and change processes
Using HR information systems to access, input and compile data
Identifying development needs
Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation
Supporting the HR manager with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
Ensuring guidance is in line with employment law and best practice.
To proactively maintain up to date knowledge of current and new employment legislation
To support the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures, ensuring that these are up to date and relevant
Assisting with and developing recruitment campaigns
Coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants
Monitoring key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates
Negotiating terms and conditions of employment with staff
Working with the respective HR Manager to provide advice and support to Managers on all Employee Relations issues.
**Skills and Experience required**
HR degree educated (or related equivalent), or equivalent experience.
CIPD status Associate Level preferred but not essential
Experience as a Senior officer/ Advisor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality support.
Significant experience of managing complex employee issues
Ability to handle employment law related matters of medium complexity.
Demonstrable success working within HR in different organisations/sectors under a fast-paced environment.
