Cafe Assistant

As a Part-Time / Full Time Server, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and friendly service to customers who order and collect takeaway meals. Your primary goal is to provide a positive customer experience by accurately and promptly fulfilling takeaway orders, maintaining cleanliness in the takeaway area, and offering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
**Order Processing**:Receive and process customer takeaway orders accurately and efficiently.
Verify order details and ensure accuracy before packaging.

**Customer Service**:Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Provide assistance and information about menu items.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a courteous manner.

**Packaging and Presentation**:Ensure all takeaway orders are properly packaged and presented according to established standards.
Verify that orders include all necessary condiments, utensils, and napkins.

**Timely Delivery**:Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of takeaway orders.
Coordinate with delivery drivers or customers for timely pickup.

**Cash Handling**:Handle cash transactions accurately, provide change, and process card payments.
Maintain cash register and report any discrepancies.

**Cleanliness and Organization**:Keep the takeaway area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Monitor and restock packaging supplies as needed.

**Adherence to Policies and Procedures**:Follow established company policies and procedures.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.

**Team Collaboration**:Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and management.

**Upselling and Promotion**:Promote special offers, upsell additional items, and encourage customer loyalty.

**Flexibility**:Be willing to assist in other areas of the establishment during peak hours or as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends.
