Compliance Officer

You will primarily be supporting the Compliance and Audit Manager to ensure that both current and future systems, processes and procedures deliver fair outcomes and ensuring we always meet regulatory requirements, mainly the right outcome for our customers. This role is suited to a self-motivated individual with experience within an FCA regulated business. Thriving on playing an important role in the development of the department, bringing fresh thinking, best practice, and appropriate challenges, thus contributing to the growth and future success of the organisation.

**Role and Responsibilities**

1. Promote our culture of Compliance, and the importance of adhering to our Compliance policies (rewrite)

2. Support and develop our systems, procedures, and process to meet our regulatory requirements

Audit of communications, Debt Recovery activity and Underwriting standards

Carrying out routine risk assessments and reporting findings to line manager

5. To ensure all policies and processes are adhered to by the company

6. Monitor FCA updates/notices and update our Compliance Monitoring plan

7. Carry out internal audits across all departments to identify compliance risks - updating our risk register

8. Assist in the organisation and submission of regulatory reporting

9. Horizon scanning

10. Assist in reporting to the Management team

11. Maintain and build Compliance controls within the company

12. Contribute to Compliance organisational strategies

13. Work closely with Audit and Complaints officers to ensure joined up approach

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience within an FCA regulated environment
- Knowledge of financial services regulations
- A high standard of analytical, organisational, and planning skills, together with an ability to problem solve, prioritise effectively, and deliver results
- Tenacious and “can do attitude”, looking outside of the box
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A self-motivated individual with the ability to drive and develop the role and assist management in ensuring that the business is controlled, compliant and well managed
- A helpful and positive manner, with an optimistic, open, pragmatic, and flexible approach to change
- Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £30,000.00 per year
