Pt Nutrition Faculty

The Part-time nutrition faculty will plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture format based on the approved course outline by selecting and utilizing a variety of approved course materials and teaching methods that address all learning modalities to ensure that the needs of individual students in need of nutrition education are met.

Major Job Duties:
- Is knowledgeable in course development, instruction, and evaluation.- Assess student learning using appropriate methods.- Participating in the assessment process, as appropriate- Conduct an engaging classroom lecture and/or lab based on the course outline.- Motivate students by demonstrating sensitivity to concerns and actively involving students in classroom discussions and/or activities.- Make arrangements for equipment and supplies, or other activities as needed.- Complete all course assessments as required.- Use technology to enhance teaching/learning in the classroom.- Maintaining current knowledge of the professional discipline- Maintaining appropriate expertise and competence through continuing professional development

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of work experience or Master’s degree in nutrition health-related field.- Registered Dietitian, licensed in Pennsylvania.- 1 - 3 years of relevant teaching experience in nutrition at the college level (Community College teaching experience preferred).- Must be willing to teach in a multi-campus modality.
