**About The Role**:
**Title: Potwash Operative**

**Location: Haverhill, CB9 8LG**

**Pay: £11.54**

**Shift: Monday - Thursday from 12:00 - 17:30pm**

**Purpose and scope of job**

To assist and work alongside iff with the cleaning and labelling of all equipment used by iff Operatives. To maintain the hygiene standards which are required within iff.

To correctly label, clean, dry and replenish all equipment needed to carry out tasks required to maintain busy production.

**Main duties and Responsibilities**
- To work alongside potwash and iff operatives to clean to a specific standard and correctly label and replenish all equipment used by iff.
- To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health and Safety, and Personal Hygiene.
- To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are always used and equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
- Report faulty machinery / equipment immediately to your supervisor.
- To ensure company / client provided uniform is kept clean and tidy and is always worn whilst at work.
- To use every effort to develop and maintain effective working relationships with our client and all colleagues.
- To ensure that all machinery is Isolated / locked off prior to cleaning, as trained.
- Correct use “as trained” of hazardous chemicals - acids / alkalis
- To attend training as required by your Line Manager / supervisor.
- Report all accidents and ‘near misses’ to your Line Manager / supervisor.

**Other information**
- Heavy lifting can be required.
- Flexibility needed to be able to cover a shift pattern if required.
- This is not kitchen pot wash it’s a factory pot wash with large tanks etc
