**Salary**: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum
**Hours**: Monday - Friday across 37.5 HPW, dependent on business needs.

**Role Overview**
As a Specialist Trainer you will be expected to deliver a wide range of specialist learning opportunities supporting new colleagues at induction through to refreshing the knowledge and skills of existing colleagues in topics such as Positive Behaviour Support, NAPPI (Non Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention, in line with the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards), and person-specific conditions. There will be a key focus in this role to specialise in the design and delivery of Mental Health awareness courses, as well as working alongside Subject Matter Experts and support functions to deliver person specific workshops, with a key focus to improve colleagues awareness and practice as well as increase quality of life for those we are entrusted to support.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Motivating and inspiring learners to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills.
- Planning and delivering effective learning activities for diverse groups in a safe and inclusive environment.
- To assist in the development of action plans and ensure delivery of appropriate training for all levels of colleagues throughout the organisation to achieve a reduction in incidents.
- Promoting a variety of learning approaches to suit the needs of the learners and the organisation.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of Positive Behaviour Support and least restrictive practices, and continuously evaluate and develop own practice
- Supporting those learners who may have specific needs and work creatively to overcome any barriers to learning.
- Providing constructive and timely feedback to learners and to Operational Managers.
- Deliver learning activities as per regional / organisational requirements.
- Demonstrate the required level of knowledge and underpinning values to competently deliver all elements of the curriculum.

**The main skills and experience for this role**
- Have a minimum 2 years’ continuous employment in support or care roles in health care or social care, ideally within the Mental Health Sector.
- Have a minimum 1 year continuous employment in training or education.
- Awareness of theoretical concepts, approaches and strategies of positive behaviour support (PBS).
- Hold, or be willing to work towards Training of Trainer programmes in Physical Intervention approaches (e.g. NAPPI)
- Hold or be willing to complete an accredited training qualification e.g Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) or equivalent.
- Current Emergency First Aid at Work certificate (which includes basic life support) or be willing to achieve within a specified timescale.
- Capacity to work unsupervised and co-operatively with others with the ability to promote and support the effectiveness of ivolve’s employee learning & development strategies.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and deal with situations in a sensitive manner
- Be positive, resilient, and dynamic with excellent training delivery and presentation skills.
- Willing and able to travel across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex to deliver training.
