Trigon Recruitment are looking to recruit a History Lecturer for the A Level faculty in a well-reputed training provider based in the West Midlands. Strong classroom management skills and a track record of student achievement are essential for this position. Your passion for contemporary issues and ability to engage students will enhance the History curriculum. The role includes extracurricular involvement and pastoral responsibilities.

**Role Overview**

To meet these responsibilities, the Lecturer should establish good relationships with students, explain concepts clearly and individually, and engage students with passion and personal anecdotes. They should also maintain a calm and approachable learning environment, provide regular feedback, and support students' mental health and personal concerns.

Additional tasks include collaborating with the course team, acting as a Personal Coach to students, maintaining accurate records of student achievement, producing reports, arranging work experience opportunities, staying updated on education and training developments, promoting positive student behaviour, and building connections with colleagues, employers, and external bodies. Adhering to College policies and participating in careers guidance, recruitment, and events are also part of the role.

**Essential Criteria**
- Degree or relevant qualification at level 4 or above
- Teaching qualification on appointment or willingness to work towards one
- Experience of teaching within a post-16/FE environment
- Experience of delivering History to examined groups
- Previous high levels of students' achievement at Level 3
- Successful experience of planning, delivering, assessing, and evaluating teaching and learning
- Ability to contribute to the organizational aspects of the curriculum area
- Ability to implement change and keep up with curriculum developments
- Ability to contribute to a creative team and work flexibly, taking responsibility for performance
