**Hybrid Working - 1 day a week in the office (Milton Keynes)**

My client a top company is currently looking to recruit a UX Researcher to join its team on a contract basis. This role will be working a minimum of 1 day a week in the office. Please note that this contract is inside of IR35 and will have to be set-up asUmbrella/PAYE. This UX Researcher will be responsible for providing customer focus, and an ability to plan, prioritise and execute aligned to strategic business priorities. The role will communicate the value of User Research, promote its adoption and practice,and consistently represent the needs of customers.

**Role Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with Customer Experience Design Team, Development, and Proposition teams to establish key research topics
- Set up, run and execute user testing selecting appropriately from different user testing methods
- Prepare discussion guides and moderate research sessions if appropriate
- Analyse research data, and share key themes and trends which can be combined with analytics data to create a thorough analysis of user behaviour
- Share results and insights with relevant stakeholders, in a consistent format from project to senior management level
- Work closely with relevant teams to turn user data into actionable product/service requirements that feed into prototype development, and influence product direction
- Present findings, recommendations and customer insights to senior decision makers so that content can be improved to help get the right outcomes for customers
- Mentor and guide others to run their own user research tests across the department, and ensure consistency in how user research findings are analysed and shared
- Create a culture of sharing around user research, including presenting, talking at community events and show and tells
- Manage and allocate user testing budget for the department
- Continually manage and assess the different user testing tools that are available, and provide recommendations for continual evolution and align that to our 3rd party testing services and partners
- Demonstrate the ROI of user research conducted, and the impact to the commercial success of projects

- Proven experience in usability testing and using multiple sources of customer insight to understand a customer's needs and pain points.
- Can plan user research for services with challenging user needs and complex user journeys
- Able to turn research data into clear findings that inform decisions.
- Works in an open, iterative and collaborative way across multi-delivery teams
- Understands strategy and objectives and can align user research activities with objectives to create insights to get the right outcomes for customers
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills to challenge assumptions and increase consensus
- Can demonstrate how they lead others to adopt and use a wide range of user research methods
- Able to educate and promote the benefits of user research across the wider team, and link this back to tangible ROI
- Awareness of how digital technology is changing user behaviour, and the challenges and opportunities for design and delivery of services
- Can identify and adopt new user experience research methods and tools, to ensure always delivering the best outcomes for customers
- Able to manage 3rd party user research suppliers, including moderated/unmoderated studies and recruitment agencies, to deliver effective services on time and on budget
