Since the first time we opened for business in 1999, our family run business has gone from strength to strength in delivering an impeccable standard of both workmanship and customer service. We specialise in supplying and maintaining Catering Equipment in Commercial Kitchens, and have an online superstore providing over 30,000 products to the commercial kitchen and hospitality industry.

To enable us to carry this forward we are always looking to expand by bringing in colleagues with the same ethics that have enabled us to grow to the position we are in now.

**Main responsibilities**

You will be assisting with the day to day running of the office in book keeping, general administrative tasks, logistics; answering phone calls and dealing with queries. You will be communicating with our suppliers and customers on a regular basis. You will be working across the business and develop good working relationship with the team.

You must be computer literate, Outlook and Office Professional knowledge is essential. Knowledge of working with Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

**General Administration and Communication**

You will manage the administration of the office and handle communication between JD Catering and its clients, contractors, suppliers, and employees. You will also assist the Sales department when required. You will organise deliveries and collections by our in-house drivers and subcontractors. You will be responsible for service levels and the budget in this area.

**Financial Administration**

You will allocate customer payments and send out monthly statements. You will be responsible for credit control to ensure that customers pay on time.

You will make payments to suppliers within agreed terms and deal with invoice queries.

You will also reconcile bank statement, petty cash and credit card statements prepare monthly VAT returns.
