**Job Summary**

Come and join the Cambridge Donor Centre to support us in the collection of Blood and Blood Products from our volunteer donors. The Cambridge Donor Centre is within the grounds of Addenbrooks Hospital, but there is free on site parking for our staff.

This is a casual hour’s role supporting the team as and when required and may involve working evenings, weekends or Bank Holidays, sometimes at short notice, but as it is a casual contract you have the flexibility to only work the days that you choose to do, so there is no guarantee of regular hours.

We work a variety of shifts, but the earliest start time is 7:30 and the latest finish time is 20:30 and we work 9.375 hour days.

You don’t need a medical background or any qualifications, we just need your friendly, flexible approach to make our volunteer donors feel welcome, at ease and valued. You will receive training to undertake this vital role.

**Main duties of the job**

You will work with the support of the blood collection team to cover the after-donation refreshments area.

The role involves you being on a casual hour’s contract working a variety of shifts including evening, weekends and bank holidays, sometimes at short notice, but you have the flexibility to only work on the days that you choose to.
