Blackheath Medical Practice is a growing patient focused training practice looking to recruit a friendly, enthusiastic receptionist. We offer a range of consultations such as e-consult, video, online and face to face appointments. The practice is forward thinking and offers a high level of care to patients and a high achiever in QOF. The Practice also plays a huge part in North Coast Alliance Primary Care Network working with other practices to provide shared services. A successful CQC completed in May 22 rated the practice as good.
Key responsibilities of Receptionist include:
- Answering the telephone and dealing with patients at the front desk
- Request blood and prescription requests
- Booking patients onto EMIS clinical system (in practice and cross organisation services)
- Code and summarise incoming mail and patient records
- Arrange services to support our more vulnerable patients - referral to social prescriber, arrange interpreter services, community pharmacy.
- Knowledge of EMIS, Docman, AccuRx and NHS.net
- Be a team player and be able to communicate both verbally and written form
- Excellent communication skills to deal with challenge quickly, calmly and efficiently
- Achieve deadlines with confidence and have ability to prioritise workload
