2024 brings exciting changes and transformation to our 0-25 Family Help and Adolescent Services in South Tyneside. **Early Help Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Coordination Worker**

An opportunity has become available for the role of Early Help Coordinator to join a high performing committed team. We are excited to advertise for the role of an Early Help Coordinator to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub.

If you have a passion for ensuring children and their families receive the right support at the right time, then look no further. As an Early Help Coordinator, you will sit within a passionate/ motivated and collaborative service that identifies children requiring support and protection. If a request is made for Early Help via the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, the Early Help Coordinators will speak with families directly, or with workers, to understand a family’s needs and provide advice on what support may be most appropriate. You will also work alongside key partner agencies to produce robust and timely recommendations for children requiring intervention and support.

Utilising a strengths-based approach in line with the Supporting Families criteria, the postholder will ensure a multi-agency response and the coordination of effective interventions whilst maintaining a focus on safeguarding, protection and wellbeing of children, young people and their families.

The role requires experience and knowledge of childhood development across the life course of 0-19/25 reflecting the intrinsic differences of developmental stages and needs of children, young people and families working collaboratively with a range of partners such as education, health, SEND, voluntary sector and social care colleagues.

We are seeking applicants who will bring a can-do approach, with a positive energy and strengths based aspirational outlook for the families and communities they are responsible for serving. A sound understanding of child and adolescent development is required, but most important is the enthusiasm to ensure our services are the very best they can be. Postholders will bring experience of working with colleagues from other agencies such as education, health and police; experience in case management and providing family support intervention; and working with families with multiple vulnerabilities to improve outcomes.
