**Production operative**

**Salary - min wage £21,000**

**Hours - Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm**

Live 2 Help Recruitment are currently working on behalf of our client based in the West Bromwich area for a Production Operative. The person will be a part of a skilled team with commitment to achieve daily targets

You will be joining an established team to ensure production targets are met on a daily basis. Applicants must be physically fit due to the nature of the work and good with numbers.

Key Duties

Performing all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections before cylinders are released.
- Ensuring cylinders are properly maintained (any cylinders requiring maintenance or repair

are removed from service until corrected).
- Attention to detail regarding labelling of cylinders
- Inspecting, associated pressure gauges and monitoring devices on a regular basis and report

to Maintenance Manager if not functional.
- Filling cylinders or containers to proper pressure weight, paying particular attention to

orders and what customers want.
- Preparing and arranging transport and documents for the shipping of products when trained

and signed off to do so)
- Communicating with customer service to ensure goods are despatched on time and in full if

necessary
- Providing daily updates to all internal stakeholders as required
- Labelling and knowledge of ADR and UN numbers and using the Bartender system if placed in Despatch
- Familiarisation with customer base we white label for if placed in despatch.
- Process orders in accordance with works instructions. Including correct packaging of

material when requested ensuring acknowledged delivery dates are maintained
- Ensuring that goods leave on time and are correct so that the customer doesn't raise an NCR
- Ensure safe handling of products
- Ensuring cylinder filling records are accurately maintained and following all required procedures in order to comply with local, HSE and Government regulations.
- Reporting accidents and/or injuries promptly to management.
- Conducting periodic checks of the plant to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Completing Daily check sheets where appropriate.
- Operating a forklift truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment and if first user of the day complete daily inspection sheet for forklift.
- Maintaining a neat, clean and orderly plant appearance.
- Assisting with loading and unloading trucks and/or trailers when required if forklift licence

acquired. Forklift certification ideal but not essential.
- Preparation of cylinders and valving cylinders when trained and signed off as competent
- Painting cylinders if deemed competent after training.
- H Testing when trained and signed off as competent.
- Packing cylinders as per customer requirements.
- Must be detail oriented with good writing skills to complete handwritten compliance

documentation accurately and neatly.
- Any other reasonable duties that you are able to do safely within your skill set.
