We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our central Finance Team as part of the Harris Federation head office in East Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and progressive Multi Academy Trust in a rolewhich has a sense of purpose and the chance to make an impact across the Federation, and to make a difference to the young people of London.

The role is part of the Federation's Head Office finance team, reporting to the Assistant Management Accountant. The role has complete responsibility for all aspects of accounts payable and for supplier management in Concur and requires supervision of theAccounts Assistant.

Across a multitude of key departments, we maintain expertise all integral to supporting central and academiesin areas such as Finance, HR, Data, Estates Management, Talent and many more.

**Main Areas of Responsibility **Accounts Payable**
- Manage the Head Office and Academy BACS payments
- Ensure timely coding and submission of Head Office invoices in Concur
- Ensure prompt response to supplier requests
- Manage the finance mailing inbox / supplier statement reconciliation
- Manage on-line emergency manual payments
- Monthly trade creditors reconciliation
- Liaise with Head Office departments to assist complex supplier statement reconciliations
- Support Head Office departments in managing, recording and tracking complex contracts, call downs and associated supplier invoices
- Review the Federation staff expenses
- Ensure employee expense claims are processed in a timely way

**Supplier Management**
- Maintain and develop the supplier management process
- Ensure the timely creation of new suppliers

**Cash Management**
- Monthly bank reconciliations of Head Office bank accounts
- Monthly Head Office cash forecasting
- Daily treasury management of cash funds

**Other**
- Monthly sales invoicing
- Other ad hoc duties to support the finance team
- Provide cover for the Accounts Assistant and Trainees Account Assistants in their absence

**Qualifications**
- Level 3 qualification (A Levels, BTEC, AAT, etc)
- Bachelor's degree with courses in accounting and/or business(Desirable)
- AAT Level 4(Desirable)

**Experience**
- 5+ years experience within Accounts
- Accounts Payable experience with a complex organisation
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping
- Financial management knowledge
- Detail-oriented mathematical mindset
- Advanced knowledgeand prior experience of Excel
- Good knowledgeand prior experience of Excel (intermediate)
