**Proposals Engineer**

Our client based in Market Deeping, a leader in the commercial vehicle industry and actively recruiting for a Proposals Engineer.

This is a newly created role and will suit an experienced engineer, ideally working within a fabrication or metalwork industry.

**General Description**:
You will be working directly with customers to understand their specific technical requirements and ensure solutions match expectations where possible. Create accurate BOM’s and estimations on current and new designs.

The Individual will have relevant qualifications/experience in engineering. They will be to confirm design integrity through analysis and be familiar with DFMEA processes and advise of any required design changes.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure all enquiries and technical requirements are reviewed, product specification confirmed and accurately estimated.
- Produce accurate BOMs for costing, manufacturing and purchasing.
- Complete contract review process, ensuring gate sign off and identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Communicate with customers, sales, design, and operational stakeholders throughout.
- Ensure compliance to all type approval regulations, EU/UK legislations, and directives.
- To champion customer focus.
- To ensure compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety
- To ensure equality and diversity is actively promoted in the workplace
- Other duties as required by Line Manager

**Experience, knowledge & skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- CAD Experience
- Experience in DFMEA
- A strong attention to Detail
- Excellent Communication skills
