A large law firm with offices across Dorset and Somerset with traditional values and great client and colleague care, require a Company Commercial Solicitor to join their progressive and innovative team.
This exciting opportunity for a full time Company Commercial Solicitor at Associate/Salaried Partner level who has proven experience of corporate transactional work will be based in the Dorchester or Poole.
The role will involve working within a busy department on a myriad of company and commercial matters, which will include but not be limited to:

- Company and business sales and purchases,
- Contract drafting and negotiating:

- Terms & Conditions of Sale and Purchase,
- Supply/ Distribution/ Agency /Franchise agreements etc),
- Private equity/ investment documentation and other corporate finance related transactions,
- Shareholders Agreements and disputes.
- Share capital restructuring,
- Employee share option and other incentive schemes,
- Business start-ups,
- Business succession planning,
- Education sector work including academy conversions and multi academy trusts.
Skills essential to the role:

- Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years PQE within company/commercial law
- Working knowledge of case management systems
- Proven ability to meet/exceed fee earning,
- Experience of time recording and meeting billing targets
- Experience of digital dictation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office along with the ability to type proficiently
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Proven ability to manage own caseload whilst working as part of a team
- Good negotiation and marketing skills
- High level of initiative
- Reliable and conscientious
- A high degree of professional integrity
- Pleasant demeanour
- Own transport (car)
In return on offer is a highly competitive salary dependent upon knowledge, skills & competency level, 33.5 days holiday a year plus a half day for birthday, pension, life assurance, occupational sick pay, performance related annual bonuses, client referralscheme payments, discounted legal fees, Health Cash Plan (Associate) / Private Medical Cover (Salaried Partner).
