Are you looking for a new maintenance role?

As the site manager you will oversee the site operation and site maintenance routines and responding to emergencies relating to the site as required. Working under the direction of the Estate Team Leader, deliver services to all buildings forming the estate,ensuring a safe and secure environment.

**Client Details**

You will be working for a public sector organisation, who are is looking for a assistant facilities manager, to help support their estates teams.

**Description**
- Carrying out security procedures for the buildings and grounds. Including patrols, alarm checks and ensuring the security of the building at lock up.
- Routine and non-routine opening and closing and security of premises and grounds.
- Act as a nominated key-holder and respond appropriately to alarm company, police call-outs and other emergencies outside normal working hours.
- Carry out general maintenance work and repairs such as painting.
- Complete Planned Checks to support with the completion of the PPM planner.
- Induct and direct contractors to sites. Inspect work of contractors and sign as complete where appropriate.
- Ensure winter weather procedures are followed including supporting with heat control and gritting.
- Ensure that estate equipment is in a safe and working condition.
- Report any repairs that require specialist assistance to the Team Leader through the help desk.
- Ensure effective use estate systems including the help desk and smart log system. Ensuring jobs are completed and recorded.
- Complete and facilitate group vehicle checks and services.
- Litter pick, rubbish removal and recycling to be carried out efficiently and in timely manner. Clear and clean after spillages.
- Receive delivery of stock, materials etc. and ensuring appropriate storage.
- Ensure adequate supply of fuel, light bulbs and janitorial and sanitary materials are available.
- Carry out procedures in event of emergencies in line with the current policy.
- Prepare for events and ensure accommodation is prepared for normal use.
- Provide information as required as meter readings.
- To be responsible for all communications regarding tickets and checks logged on the respective systems.
- To contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the Group.

**Profile**
- Good working knowledge of facilities Maintenance/ Handyman tasks.
- An understanding of safeguarding and Equal Opportunities and its importance within the organisation.
- To hold a current driving licence
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with all staff and visitors to the premises.
- Willingness to work flexibly, both in relation to role, location and working hours (alternate shifts between the hours of 7AM-10PM)

**Job Offer**

Salary of £20,000

25 days holidays, plus Bank Holidays, plus 5 days Christmas leave
