Finance Business Partner

I am currently partnering with a prominent logistics company located on the outskirts of Nottingham, representing them in their search for a Finance Business Partner. This exciting opportunity is for an initial 3-6 month contract, with the potential for extension (outside of IR35).

Overview

As the Finance Business Partner, you will have the unique opportunity to join our client's finance team and contribute to their ongoing success. Acting as a liaison between the finance department and various business units, you will provide invaluable financial insights, analysis, and strategic recommendations. Through your expertise and collaboration, you will support informed decision-making, optimise performance, and help drive the organisation's growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, serving as their trusted financial advisor in critical decision-making processes.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, building trust and credibility.
- Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial results.
- Support the preparation of business cases, financial models, and investment appraisals.
- Assist with financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) is essential.
- Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or similar role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Solid understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

This is predominantly a remote role - you will be required to be in the office once a week.
